Performance Engineers, Inc. is continuing to grow our presence in Northern Michigan. The following announcements are some of the exciting things going on at PEI.
PEI Is In Our New Building
We are excited to be moved into our new facility, located at 6972 US-31S, across from the Charlevoix airport and the location of the former "Flight Deck & Paul Bunyan Lanes". Our construction contractor, FED Corp, completed construction late fall of 2025 and we have begun the 2026 year in our new space. While there are still some items that we are working to finish, like our roof top solar array and our temperature and humidity controlled concrete curing room, we are open and operating in the new space.

We've Acquired Benchmark Engineering, Inc.
We are excited to announce that we have acquired Benchmark Engineering, Inc. in Harbor Springs. Benchmark has a long history in the area, providing surveying and civil engineering for over 50 years. The Benchmark team is a good mix of expertise to complement our existing staff, along with an expansion of our geographic footprint in Northwest Michigan.
